i just read thourgh this thread again and forgot two important things about the carnation.
1. the ones i kept before i hung upside down buy building an arch (big one). need to do this because they like to "wheap" and the their polyps are very fragile and must not touch the rock or sand. upside down prevents this and not to much current to them like i said before need it but kinda special.
2. during feeding i use a syringe filled with squid juice and put it in the current to them. in about a half hour or so you will see them open up big time. i use zooplanton as well as the other req. stuff and add some diced squid. never put them in a tank under 1year old.
