Bree, that is exactly what mine look like now, open all the time. I'd take a picture, but I shoved them in the back of the top of the tank (due to the only place the rock would fit). They are just cup corals, and generally close up if you tick them off. I lost a section of mine though (before the addition of move live rock). No idea what happened, just realized I had a section of skeleton.
