Coralife Bulb Blew after 1 week!

Quit shaking them! :joke:

I received all my bulbs from Dr Fosters and Smith. They are so well packaged I think you could drop kick them to the door and they wouldn't break. I didn't bother shaking them to see if they rattled so I can't tell you if its normal or not. Have you tried the replacement bulbs to see if they do at least work?

In the meantime does anyone know where I can order the coralife light where I might actualy recieve one that works?

They want $90 at the LFS, and $40 for each bulb or I would just get one there. The entire light was $50 online...

I bought mine at HelloLights. But since you've been so frustrated with your mail-order experience, I really would suggest buying your light locally. Even the best packaging in the world can't guarentee that the light unit or bulbs won't be broken during shipping, and I rather get the feeling you're tired of dealing with that.

I went to the LFS and they said the ratteling was normal. They said it is likely the Ballast in the Coralife unit itself was bad.

I have a new light fixture on the way and I am returning all bulbs to foster and smith.
