i was offered this fixture for $150 new from someone who bought out a store that was closing. It's also has LED lunar lights.

Any opinions on this light? and Is this a good deal?

Maybe it’s more of a personal preference, but I was never big on compact fluorescents for marine tanks. If you have a FOWLR, great, but if you also have corals, I would prefer either metal halides or T5s (or if you have money to burn, LEDS). The compact fluorescent bulbs are expensive and don’t last long. In the long run, it will cost you more.

I original only had a coral life compact and it worked fine for mushrooms, Xenia and other easy corals. I have since added a t5 along with the compact and am very happy with the results. BUT, I wouldn't spend money on compacts if starting out I would go straight to a t5. I still use the compact only because I have it!
