When should I expect Coralline to start growing in my tank, it's been 2 months and I see nothing growing :P

Anything I can do to speed it up?

I agree that it will take a little time. In both my tanks I was seeing good growth in 3 months. I am one of those that does not suggest using any of the "acceleration" products like purpleup for coraline growth. You really need to focus on not adding anything to the system unless there aren't any other options. Also, you should not dose something if you do not check it's levels - such as iodine or strontium, even calcium for that matter.

Can you describe your system.....

Everything seems to take time in sw. It took a while for mine to start going crazy. Then it started growing on the front of my tank and it actually started getting a little annoying. I wouldn't use purple up. You don't need it.

I suggest you check your calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium levels. All three are very important in coralline algal growth.

I second that. Also the better the lights the faster it seems to grow. I have so much in my nano its actually annoying. I have to scrape the front glass everyday or else I can hardly see in because there are so many purple circles of the stuff. My back glass is becoming covered though which is great.

What are your Magnesium levels and do you use blue Actinic lights.
These are very important for Coraline Algae to grow.
