Cories acting wierd?

Thanks for that congealedmeat. I cut back to half a tablet and watched them finish it. I also did a 25% water change today. After giving them time to relax from the excitement, I went to observe them. After the water change they seemed to be *very* active, they were swimming all over the place but one in particular seemed to be in some sort of frenzied swimming against the glass and looking like it was going to explode (hard to describe but this fish looked hyper). It also seemed to be "rolling" in the sand periodically. Sorry to keep posting the minutia of what is going on but I must say it is sometimes hard to determine what is normal with these guys. Still no sign of white spots or listlessness or loss of appetite or any other symptoms that would say for sure that these guys are sick. I was thinking briefly that it would be a good idea to treat for ich but it seems that most of the medications are quite dangerous to corydoras. The salt\temperature treatment may not work too well in my setup as I do not think my heater will be able to maintain stable temperatures as high as is often recommended to treat ich. I was also wondering what corydora eggs look like? Could that be what I am seeing stuck on the glass (trying to be optimistic)?

My corys seems to like "scatching" every once and a while, and it initially scared me.
A friend's saltwater tank used to have massive ich problems, and once we see one fish scratching, we know it was doomed. :(

My corys algo get really active when I do gravel vacuuming; I think it has to do with "new" stuff being kicked up from the cleaning?
I'm surprised how calm they are with the gravel vacuuming, and I accidently sucked one up with the gravel vacuum after looking away for a split second!
I swear I did it by accident! :(
Now I have to be really careful with the gravel vacuum cause the corys just sit there - I need to gravel vacuum *around* them now. :)

Funny, my corys love to cruise around after a gravel vac. . I just think to myself, after all the good food you get, you want to eat the nasty stuff I just stirred up??? Its cute though, like some sort of "treat" to them :thud:

cory's freaking out

My cories are doing the freaking out thing where they speed around and hit the glass. It doesn't look to safe! Well one of mine died a few weeks ago, the only sympton I saw was that after he got air he would come back down and have what looked like convulsions. This lasted for about a week and then I found him dead. I hope my other cory's aren't going through the same thing. I haven't seen the air convulsions though, just the crazy swimming when I walk by the tank.
