Cories in with a fancy GF?

No, i would def not myself.

If the catfish can fit into the mouth of the goldfish, no.

I remember reading a post from someone, frantic for help, trying to figure who to cut to save the other, for the catfish will extend all rays when in distress and then it is impossible to pull it out of the goldfish mouth.

Well, the fancy one's like there water a little warmer but, I don't know if it would be warm enough for them. I still wouldn't try it though they'd probably end up being nice little shashimi treats for the goldies. " I have to say this when I saw the tittle I thought girl friend not gold fish lol."

Cories and goldfish can be done as long as the goldfish isn't big enough to eat the cories. Fancy goldfish do well up to 75* (although they'll grow much faster at these temps), and some cories (particularly the albinos/greens) do well down to 72* (sometimes even lower). My parents have a three cories in a 10 gallon tank, they've been at room temp. for five years with no ill effects.

The majority of albino and green cories for sale are raised in fish ponds in Florida, where they obviously aren't being kept at 77*-78* all the time.

I have decided to just let the 3 cories have their own 10G tank and we're planning on putting it in our 3 1/2 year old son's room.

The two 20G tanks each have a goldfish and a snail now. I finished building one of them into the wall. Pictures have been posted online. You can link to them from my tank profile post. The link is in my .sig.
