correction: rescued bronze cory (not emerald cat)

Corys can eat just about anything, throw some flake food in there and he'll eat it. I have to emerald splendens that I got with a tank I bought. I've had them a couple months and they tilt to their sides, don't know what but they havn't showed any other sign of illness.

The little guy is still doing well. I think his color is getting better. I'll try to get pics this evening.

Good to know. Thanks!

He looks really good! I have a bunch of bronzes and I absolutely love them. They DO grow on you.

The algae wafer is fine for now. There are wafers that are a combo with meat in them as well as spirolina, etc. Ken's fish has them and Hikari also makes them.

Sorry---not sure how I missed this. Sounds like the veggie-salmon jello that I make for my turtle might work well. I'll give it a try.

He's looking so much better! How big are your QT tanks? If 10g, you could just fit 4 which I believe is the recommended minimum.

I have Hikari sinking wafers, which have meat & veg in them. I think the package has a picture of a cory on it!

My cories love their snail jello - it's got shrimp, veg & some fish food held together with some gelatin. I'm sure your guy will love the turtle jello!

He's currently in a 5 gallon hex because that's all I had left. My two tens and one spare 30 are all full of quarantined otos and plecos, and I didn't want to put him in with any of them because I had no idea what he might have been exposed to.

I'm still hoping to find a new home for him, because I'm already pushing the stocking on my 30g (once I get everybody out of quarantine) and I haven't yet tried to sweet-talk my partner into letting me leave one of the QTs running. He's very tolerant, but he is not into fish and I think I've been straining his patience lately with all these "extra" tanks. :/

The wafers I have are Wardley---not the best brand, but it's what I could find locally. They do have some meaty ingredients. I've put a tiny bit of veggie-salmon jello in there for him to try. He hasn't warmed up to it yet, but it took him a while to try to wafers so I'm going to give it a day.

Thanks everyone for the interest, information, support, and encouragement. This is why I love AC. :)

Thanks. :D

I don't know much about corys and never intended to have any, but everyone says (and my experience has been) that clean water will do a world of good for most fish and that is something I know how to do.

I still think he's a funny-looking little fish, but he is growing on me and every time I see him I am happy that he isn't living in a vase anymore. :)

It took my cories several tries before they realized that they really loved my snail jello! Still, I feed the tank a piece that's only about 1/4" x 1/2" for 8 of them (but my endlers also enjoy it).

If you incorporate some air bubbles into some of your mix via blender or whisk, the jello will float - in case you want to try it with your endlers... They took awhile to go down and see what all the hubbub was about. :)
