How should corys behave? I only have one.. when I first got him he was alllll over the tank but not he just sits around and doesnt move unless other fish come around him he will move to another spot and just sit there :help:

hes probably lonely, cories like to school, most school only with there own kind. try gettign him a friend nd see if that doesn't helo. I have noticed mine seem to be more active in the morning and then tend to rest toward the afternoon.

I have always had the same problem with corys. I would assume that he would do better with a few friends of his spieces, though.

Cories are definatley schooling fish...and I would reccomend getting at least 2 or 3 more of the same kind you already have. They are also nocturnal....so its pretty normal for them to just chill out during the day unless its feeding time.

I've got 3 peppered corys in my 10 gal. and they are fairly active together. If I had more room I'd add one or two more though.

Anyway, to the OP, yeah, add a couple of the *same species* cory in there so they all have some friends.
