So I went to trade some plants in and since I wanted some more cories I looked at the tank. It was just labeled cories and he said they were Jade cories. Well I figured Emeralds were the real name, no green showing yet but they just went in yesterday. I figured a cory is a cory. Well these Corys aren't, they are Brochis. Why are Brochis considered cories? Luckily its not going to get to much bigger then what I probably would have ended up with but I read on a couple of sites they eat small crustaceans but others don't mention it. Are Cherry Shrimp safe with them?

I keep cherry shrimp with my brochis splendens with no issues. I actually really really like the brochis and they have been with me for years.

LOL..Bronchis look similar to cories. Same as aspidoras. Only way to distinguish them is by counting the number of dorsal rays.
