I recenty took out a decoration from the tank it was this ancient ruin type thig and i put in a fake log that has 3 entrances/exits in it so i figured they could hide out in it just like they did under the driftwood i have in there. But now i noticed that they are not going in or under both of them, is this a problem if they dont want to hide.

Hi,

How long ago did you change decor? Cories sometimes need a little time to get used of their new home. Or maybe they just don't like it.

They probably just need some more time to get used to it, I'm sure they'll be hiding out in there in no time at all.

My cories rarely venture into the rock cave in my tank. I've only seen them swim in and poke around and come back out right away.

If your cories don't feel like they need to get away from other fish, bright lights, etc., they may be perfectly happy not using their hiding spaces. But I'm sure they'll appreciate it when they DO want it.

My Sterba will go into the cave. The rest seem to prefer when I make them a shelter by raising a FLAT slate like piece (it's resin) on top of marbles. They seem to like a flat roof.
