Cory Catfish swim really fast to the top normal?

Yeah only 1 emerald Cory. I don't want to have 6?! maybe I can get another one but that's it. Well he is shy during the day but I just dropped an algae wafer since is nighttime and he came out, he is eating it. Also he is swimming up and down?? and he did that thing again like a torpedo.. Idk

Well, cories are ultimately schoolers, and when it comes down to it, their feeling of not having security within a school will stress em and >>eventually<< kill em whether it be illness or parasite

Ohh hum then Ill have to get some more. My question is, can I get some other color like albino or pepper or they have to be the exact same ones?

while you can mix them and have them school across sub-species lines, but I've heard they're happiest in a group. I've got habrosus (salt and pepper) and while they were originally a secondary fish (intended to help maintain "more important" fish) they've become some of my very favorite fish. Also, as i mentioned before, they're very tidy little dudes, very very easy on your filtration capacity, at least in my experience.

i have a peppered cory and though she is blind i still tryed to get a buddy for her but for some reason he didn't last long

any way she acts just like the cories i see in the shop and other people's tanks
i guess that because she is blind she cant tell if its day or night so she is active all of the time and isnt scared of anything

(she loves tearing into some little earthworms)

btw she is also the oldest fish i have
