I recently set up my 55 gallon aquarium for 2 angel, 2 discus, and I bought 7 cory catfish from a friend of mine. I am not too knowledgeable with ID'ing the cory's yet. I was wondering if they will survive, and be happy in 80-82 degrees with the discus. They are swimming around fine right now at 81 degrees. They eat a lot of food but I just dont want to wake up one day with dead cory's.

They should be fine, but that tank sounds a bit small for your stocking levles.

okay thanks for the input but if I had a 125 gallon aquarium someone would say it is too small. First thing people say on forums is the tank sizes are too small. The discus need 10 gallon per fish. That is 20 gallons. The angels need a little less so lets say that is another 15 gallons. I have 20 gallons left over for the cory's. My 55 gallon is fine. kk thanks. Here are pics of my cory's.

I believe the "10 gallons per Discus" assumes you already have a large aquarium, as discus get about 10" around as adults and would barely even be able to move in a 10 gallon tank. That would probably be fine for a single pair of discus with the corys, but the angels are too much. Those stocking "rules" are liberal and don't take into account the sizes of the other fish you're stocking as well.

Like I said, thanks for the input but before I say something stupid I will just ignore your posts. I asked about cory's, not your opinion on my other species of fish.

I don't know about the temp for corys my tank if set at 27 degrees but the stocking is fine and your discus will survive with slightly lower temps as will your angels to be on the safe side for your corys you could lower your temp.

Looks like you've got false julii's (trilli) and bronze cories. They will be absolutely fine at those temperatures!
