Cory cats and aquarium salt?

you need to ge the salt out of the water ASAP. corydoras do not like salt in their water one bit, and it can harm them.

aquarium salt does nothing at all to help repair fins. they will repair themselves. fins that have ripped can heal pretty fast, usually no longer that two days, but fins that have chunks missing take much longer.

IMO don't panic to get the salt out. Quickly changing the salinity will be more stresffull and worse than letting it slowly be removed during regular water changes.

I ONLY use salt to treat for ICH and have treated tanks with Cory cats several times at 2 tsp per gallon with no ill effects.

I do agree that salt does nothing to help your fish heal.

If you are worried about bacterial infections then use a little Melafix.
