Cory feeding tips?

Take a 2 liter pop bottle and make a hole sized for the cories and feed them in there
or seperate the gluttons with a divider at feeding time also try bloodworms sories love them-Anne

I'm still pretty new to this. But, if you feed them after the lights are off, how do you know that the cories found and ate the food?

Cories will feed in the dark, the other fish will not. The room needs to be dark too so the other fish go to sleep and don't have enough light to see food. I feed mine after lights out as well. Having a tank full of just cories and not having any food left in the morning is sure enough proof.

Cories are night time feeders like plecos they also eat during the day but constintly forage around the tank. They have expandable stomachs like snake jaws so you should not have to worry about overfeeding

not true. cories are diurnal. however, they will feed after dark, especially if they get used to feeding that way. mine get really excited every evening after the sun goes down. try breaking up the wafers and dispersing the pieces all over the tank instead of dropping them in one place. once the group of cories get used to being in your tank, they will be a little more rambunctious about eating. mine will steal wafers away from my congo tetras!

I agree to disagree! I bring in wild cories every couple months from around the world and havent found one that dosent costantly move looking for food after dark. I like to watch them lay the best time I have seen is dark so I have seen a good amount of different behavoir. Tank raised cories are taught to eat when the lights are on and tend to move around the tank much more than wild caught cories, They tend to hide and come out at dusk /dark and frolic around the tank.
