I bought this skeleton on a piece of liverock about two monthes ago, Is this coral coming back alive? I havnt gotten my hopes up yet but it would be cool. Also if it isnt coming back, then whats going on?

Looks like the algae that the coral lives with is growing. If you are lucky some polyps miy grew back/awaken. I have had this happen with seemingly dead coral on my live rock. Good luck with it.

Yea it was all a skeleton when I bought it, then the pink soft areas occured.

There were probably very tiny unnoticeable (possibly even bleached) fragments of coral tissue on the skeleton when you aquired it. Tentatively it looks like blastomussa wellsi trying to make a come back (though it could easily be some other sort of LPS).

Once it/they develop oral cavities ('mouths'), feed it/them to accellerate regeneration.

It looks like one has a mouth aready. And I don't know how its making a come back, the tank isnt really suited for LPS. Mainly softies and such.

What should I start feeding and adding if anything?

I have a Cerialis Acro that had been in my tank for 6 months that RTN'd in a 16hour period of time and as I was about to pull the dead skeleton from the tank about a week later, I noticed 1 small bit of live tissue so I left it in the tank.

It is now regrowing over the old skeleton.

Its rather amazing how you can think something is totally dead but its not. Its like an act of nature. Like the coral is cleansing itself.
