I think my Molly is pregnant.

Bought her 9/23/2004 was put in a 5 gallon with another molly, neons, and a male swordtail.

For a few weeks she was in a 10 gallon with one male swordtail.

For about a week or so she has been in a 15 gallon tank with 2 noens and 2 corys.

Is it possible she has gotten pregnant by the swordtail about a week or so ago?
I am not positive but I think the other molly is a female also, but they weren’t together recently. Is there any way she could be pregnant or is her fat belly because of something else?

it is possible that your molly is pregnant from the swordtail because sometimes, livebearers do interbreed if the water conditions are good.A molly's gestation period is about 28 days so if your preparing to have fry than it's best to buying a breeder net to seperate the fry from other tankmates or you can buy another tank to keep the fry in :)

Maybe she is pregnant from the fishstore? They can have babies for about 3 months after contact with a male!
