I have to wash my hands after touching, but as long as hands are washed promptly it's okay, can cause a rash or illness if you don't clean properly after handling.

I'm new to amphibians. I've had aquariums for years and was also good with aquatic plants so I don't think I'll have too much trouble with fire bellied toads. Currently I have two in a twenty gallon tank with a big dish of water with rounded or flat stones in it and carnivorous plants- pitcher plants and honeydews. I plan on making a really nice terrarium out of a 55 gallon acrylic tank I have. I plan to wall of a 4 inch partition in the center so I can make half of it a miniture pond with a waterfall and filter.
