Well it surely has been awhile since i have last posted.
Couple of questions now.
Firstly, what in your experience/s have been the best way to sex gold severums. The two that i have are only about 2", but they both at times look the same yet so different. for example, the biggest one has a very pointed anal fin, and slightly more rounded dorsal. the smaller one is started to get the same in regards to the long anal fin. the smaller one has more redness around the underside of his gills and more toward his belly aswell. the biggest one has prodominate stripes on its face, but they fade up and down. the biggest is also quite chunky towards the head. i'm hoping the signs of redness is female, and the chunkiness is male. everyday i think the smaller one will turn out just like the bigger one.
secondly, i've been searching for about 4weeks to find a female convict of resonable size. the lfs hasn't had any females of any size. and i've visited about 4-5 stores every week asking for them to call me if any come in. well i finially just bought a female, definately, but she is only about 1.5" long. my male who i've had for ages is about 5". what is the best size (or minimal should i say) for me to introduce them? and what would be the most stress free way. eg. put in a smaller hatching tank and let them get acostumed to one another, or straight in, or just float in a bag for a few good hours with rotating the water? anyway let me know.
sry might of been awfully long, but it has been awhile.
THANKS
