CP terraium - Plants only

Nepenthes muluensis x lowii should be grown with daytime temps around the high 70s low 80s and nightly drops to the 50s, the lower the better. that's how i treat all my highland plants. humidity isnt that big of an issue with lowii crosses in general but if you insist, a RH of about 70% should do well. it's really more of a lighting issue when it comes to pitchers.
Yep... this is what I shoot for with my lowii. I'm still not sure I'm getting the night time temp drop low enough.

The photo project sounds cool!

Well due to the 20% off at black jungle, I bought acouple more....
Also waiting any freaking day now for my last N. alata to open. Then my time lapse will finally be done.

I was looking at the sale too. My self control seems to be growing... or maybe it's that I'm broke.

Can't wait to see the time lapse project. Sounds really cool!

Should be getting my package tomorow!

Sweet!

Well my N. Alata pitchers finally opened. But won't have the time lapse video up for a couple days, tooo busy.
My camera is finally freed up to take pics of the rest.
I now have 3 N. bellii. Just waiting for the 2 new ones to get comfy before I start my tests. Pretty weird, since in my possession, the pitchers are full size, to deviation in size what so ever.

Wow! Everything looks great, Paul!!!

I was just thinking I need to put up some updated pics of mine...

Hey Jb, what fan are you using in your HL terrarium? I think I need to get one for my terrarium in my basement. On my last shipment, I bought a N. spectabilis x aristolochioides. So I put that next to my N. lowii x muluensis. The temp is around 72 during the day and once the light goes out, it gets down to 66. It's also sealed off to keep the humidity in but I do open it every now and then to get fresh air in there. But I think I need a fan in there.

I'm using 1.5 w computer fans. I think they're around 7 cfs. I can't remember the model number or anything, but they're the smallest ones I could find at Radio Shack. I think I remember your set up being larger... you can get bigger fans too.

Well this would be going in my terrarium in my basement. My main terrariums are in my bedroom and those are all LLs, so the one in the basement im just starting is HL. I think the tank comes out to be around 10 gals. I'll go look for one next time I'm off.
Heres the tank they are in.

My next project in the future is to turn that tank into a floating island that will be growing Genlisea. The island is going to have a hole in the middle with some plastic canvas stuff to allow the roots to grow through. If I do it right you should be able to see the plants and roots.
