I'm working on the photos as quickly as possible. I'm almost caught up. I have to leave some time for wire sculpting.
Well, I ran out of space for the month on Flickr..... Time to go with a pro account? I'm almost to the hybrid photos. It just opened a new pitcher yesterday.
Here it is. This was last newest leaf when we found it. It has since opened a new one. I kinda want to cal it S. "Calamari".
I was indeed eating calamari when I came up with the idea. It looks like a squid mantle, doesn't it? It's a beautiful little plant. I have a few seedlings of it as well. The interesting thing about this hybrid is that the new pitchers have windows along the edge of the lid and directly below the mouth. It's almost like a reverse S. minor window pattern. It's one of my favorite plants so far in my collection. Now to wait for it to flower....
