I'd like to add that the original mother plants I got from Jb died back sometime this past fall...then sent up all these!

I've actually seen it recommended to cut off the central mother plant after a while, to encourage this kind of growth. I'll have to put up a pic of the original one I got. It's still with me.

DP... I agree with Paps. That's a hardy plant there, and if there's a way to stay alive, it'll find it. I'd say keep it well watered and wait a while before you give up on it.

I do frequent root and leaf cuttings, lots of little plants. The mother plant has done something similar to this before. I bit af grooming and she rebounds. I don't give up on this plant easily, since it's about as hard to kill as Java fern.

I move into my apartment next week. Hopefully the humidity is high enough in there to grow Neps in the windowsill.

My ventrata looks to be inflating new pitchers. The tendrils are definitely growing.

I'm placing my order by then. How hard is N. vogelii to grow? I plan on getting ramispina, alba, and burkei while I'm at it, maybe even spectabilis.

Well my N. vogelii is on its 4th pitcher since I got it, so its kickin butt right now. I have the temps getting up to 80 during the day and drops to 70 during the night. Humidity is stays at above 85%, but I'm sure you can go lower. The latest pitcher has a permanent drop of drool hanging from the bottom of the lid:drool:. Pretty cool. I'll take some pics today.
From my last order, my N. izumea is still working on its pitcher...
