Big news!
We found a new site for Drosera intermedia in Surrey county, Virginia today!!! We were expecting D. capillaris, but this is a huge discovery, and a county record! Richard found it in a tire rut, interspersed with D. brevifolia. No Lycopodiums were around the location, making it an unexpected find. The two species usually require very different soil parameters, but we obviously found something proving otherwise. These aren't just tiny plants either, there's at least one decently sized one! We're hoping to find more in the area upon further investigation.
The best part is that the road the plants are on is called Fat Daddy. I'm hoping to name the locality Fat Daddy intermedia and Fat Daddy intermedia.
