Today is July 01,2006
It has been awhile since I posted. I had discovered a large stone crab and decided to keep him, However he has since eaten all of my starfish and destroyed some zoa frags. He needed to go today.
I also picked up some sleeper gobies. Great fish to keep substrate clean, however these two guys decided to eat all my blue zoas! They needed to go today.
I also had a green clown goby in the tank since December, yup you guessed it! He ate all the tentacles off of my elegance coral! He needed to go today!
So how do you get 3 burrowing fish and a viscous crab out of a mature 180g tank? Like this...
Yep, that's right! Tear out all the rock and corals and find them! A nice 8 hours of work when you are by yourself!
So how does it look now? Like this...
I am not adding any more fish that might eat a coral! God! That is the second time I had to do that in less than 6 months!!!
Next weekend the 3 tanks from the central system get installed on the 180g. I tore the central system down yesterday. Another 6 hours of work!
I'm not complaining, just saying "WOW" that ain't no picnic!
Next weekend I will have helpers to help me rearrange the fishroom, move tanks, plumb systems, and get things the way I need them to be.
I will post the results of my labor next Sunday!
