so i got a small crab from the LFS and i have just been advised that i cant really keep it in my freshwater tank.

i am a little miffed at the LFS for not telling me this.

anyway, i decided i would set up a small "crab tank". I am thinking a 10g tank or so.

what do i need to do to get it set up? what can i put it in with it?

Before answering your other questions, do you know what kind of crab it is? It's most likely a red claw or a fiddler. If it's a red claw, then it should have a lot of red on it, and be fairly agressive. If it's a fiddler, it should be gold to brown in colouration and have either two small claws (female) or one huge claw and one small claw (male).

it is a female fiddler based on your description.

If it's a fiddler crab, you should give it a lot of land. Fiddlers really don't spend much time in the water.
