A few questions.
1. I asked for thoughts on what kind of crab I had in another thread(hitch-hiked in on some live rock) Someone told me they need a picture to ID it. Since my camera is crap that wont work. Do you know any good sites I could browse to find out? There are 2 abot the size of a quarter, orange with black on the claw tips. Any suguestions on what I could look for on those sites?

2. I found a claw in the substrate this morning. I am guessing they were fighting and one got hurt. Im guessing it wont grow back?

3. Will they harm my corals? I Know that sounds dumb, but a few times ive seen them eyeballing them like they were food.....

orange with black on the claw tips.
I personaly do not trust any crabs in my reef except acro crabs.
but this is all the information we need to know. anything with black tips is bad... it could be many different species, the gorilla crab being the msot common.

if u think the crabs are dangerous..... sell them and get some kind of marine shrimp! they are harmless and are beautiful!

i love the shrimp, but they all pick at my corals in search of food in the polyps. especialy my lps :(
i am searching for some sexy shrimp though cause they are awesome
the only shrimp i have right now is a tiny hitchicker in an acro and a CBS in my fowlr. and i have a few acro crabs.

From the few pics I could find of the gorilla, I dont think thats it. The one I have is bright orange like a trafic cone. I'd like to keep it if my soft corals are not in danger. One site I read says gorilla crabs will actually try to eat anemonies and such. Id like to find out for sure what I got.

i dont have an exact species for you once again then, but ill look around.
but any large crab with black tipped claws is just about always a threat to fish and corals also.
is yours hairy?
ill look for some pics

Not hairy, and it's not that big. Well It's the size of a quarter, mabey that is big for these things? Anyways thanks for helping. And if anyone still knows of a good site I could browse for pics, let mew know.
