Craigslist gold! 38gallon eclipse

Great find. The setup look's very good.

I am on Craigs list everyday Ive gotten a couple good tanks from there. Just need to set them all up.

Kribs would be very cool.
 
Very nice! I'm not sure Kribs are the best choice. They get a bit large for that tank's footprint and could be too aggressive for the proposed tankmates.
Good luck with the plants. You have only one watt per gallon so the ludgwigia may not grow much for you.
 
yeah I added a 30inch corallife t-5 fixture on top, it fits perfect as long as I have the cover removed. I knew ahead of time I might need some extra wattage
 
Well I went with a black background but for some reason it's reflective. All the fish can see reflections of themselves and my male krib is not happy about seeing himself. Kept fighting himself for hrs so I had to take it down. Not sure what to do but at least the cherry barbs are happy. By the way they were acting I knew they were going to spawn the very next morning and sure enough they did! The rummies had a good feast and a bunch of commotion

Update

Kribs loved their new tank, all the fish are doing great, no cherry fry though lol. I lost a rummy today, a chunk was missing from it's stomach so i think the male krib might of caught him slipping. I think this is my second batch with this female so I'm not sure if she'll eat them or not. They don't look quite right either. But at least I know they're happy. =)

The black is nice. I actually have a background that has a variety of plants and coral on it. I have a 36g corner bow there are some pics of the tank in the photo gallery from a while ago if you want to take a look. The background looks very natural and the fish seem to like it :D. Your tank looks very good so far nice start!
