Hi I need help making a decision on which 125g tank you think I should get. The first one is nice because it has a wooden stand, however the tank doens't look as clean and looks like it has more scratches on it. I'm sure however it can be cleaned up to look very good.

The 2nd tank looks nicer however has a metal stand-

both of these come with lights and a few other misc non-important items.
they both hold water fine and are the same price.

-What do you guys think?

An added bonus is the first one already has a colored background, remember that you will be observing the fish, not the stand.

I dont like the metal stands, all the cords hanging looks sloppy, and if you have kids its a bad idea. I love the wood stand, looks more put together....

:iagree: If you have kids running around, will be more difficult with iron stand to get them to stay out of the stuff underneath (sump/equip/wires etc). I'd vote for the wooden stand. Have seen the tanks in person?

i like the metal stand the best great for a 2nd tanik under there :) and as for kids and cords a nice paddle will stop that LOL glad im single i would parent like joan crawford in mommie dearest. no i wouldnt offer more then the 250.00 are you sure they just arent trying to squeeze more money out of you by saying they had a better offer? its a common ploy on craigslist when they want to get offers just make the offer and walk away odds are they will call you when the other "people" flake on them.

$250 is a terrible deal for a metal stand and a tank without an overflow.

Pass.

Trim looks dinged up too, top right hand corner.
