Had some live crawfish left over from a party this weekend? I decided to give the fish some raw meat from a crawfish tail. All the fish ate it but was this a bad idea?

Err, it depends upon collection, etc. Some of them have things in it we shouldn't be eating either. I can say that about our local crawfish--you definitely don't want them.

So, I will take that as a no. Can you tell me what I should watch out for so if my fish get sick. And what should I do?
Thanks

I don't think it's an instantaneous thing--at least none that I've ever observed. However, it could be a problem over time as contaminants build in their systems. It would likely cause disease over time and shorten lifespan.
