I'm starting my first tank next week and was wondering if I can put ANY other fish in with a crayfish. It would be in a 30g and I'd like a sunfish of some kind...or anything that would evade/get along with a crayfish.

Can anyone give me some stocking suggestions? Thanks!

Theres no definite that could escape a crayfish. You could try feeder fish, but would still need to replace em fairly regularly. Crayfish are nocturnal and are prone to grabbing fish while there sleeping.

Look at my sig and you will see what i have in with my crayfish. they have been together for 5 months now and he has not even tried to catch any fish. if any thing he is scared of the fish and runs from them. But with that said you never know with any fish or crayfish you just have to try for your self and be prepared to seperate if need be.

I think the chances of cray tankmate survival depends on the tanks size in which it is kept in.... maybe you could try another crayfish with it but, watch out when it molts.

It's all about the fish mix and the temperment of the crawdad

I had one that didn't touch any fish. I have a dwarf gourami that used to get quite close to it while it fed, picking up any tidbits left by the crayfish

I've also read other people have lost many fish to them.

30g is a good size to give everyone room.
