No.
But keep in mind I am usually very concerned about putting things in tanks that will kill other things in my tank.

Now if you said, those angels and a betta and platty in a 29 tall (or larger), I might say "Might be ok... you are taking a risk anytime with that kind of thing in your tank, but I think the fish have enough room to avoid him easily."

Putting them together in a 10 with that thing is like putting you in a small room with Mike Tyson, and you are wearing a shirt that says "I dare ya to bite MY ear off, loser!"- Eventually he is going to blow up and "get ya".

o0o0o0o0ok then your saying no one no zero yes!

I Agree with TB. If you look at my tank it's exactly as he says. In a ten gallon with two fish that have long flowing fins (the betta and angels) the crayfish will sooner or later catch and kill one. Stick to shrimp at that size.

But they don't make a habit of eating fish... not live one's anyway...

You don't want a crayfish. It will catch and eat your fish. I had one in a 70 gallon tank and it was able to get any fish it wanted to at night. it took me a while before I caught him in the act though. He usually had them eaten before I knew that they were gone!

When I was a kid, I had about 6 small crayfish in a 75 gallon tank with some fish that were bigger than them. No problems. The fish were apparently to big for the crafish, and the crayfish were to big for the fish to eat.

As for a 10 gallon...I'd say no....

Additionally, since you are going to get another tank later, I don't see a problem with someone who wants a 10 gallon with a crayfish if you just tossed in 2-3 feeder goldfish from time to time... after you move those other fish out to your new 29.

Not my style, but might be a kick for some...

Amano or ghost shrimp will not get to the size of crayfish, and may work--depends on the character of the betta. Some ignore shirmp, some see them as snacks. I wouldn't add anything until the angels are moved, though.
