Crayola sand

Has anyone used this stuff? I saw it at walmart with some crazy colors. I did a quick google search and on mfk people were looking into it but i didnt see if anyone tryd it yet.

the color washes off, turns your water whatever color the sand is, also the color comes off on your hands, the mfg claims it is non toxic.

Ive called the company before and they said it should be safe after an excessive amount of rinsing, but i wouldnt trust it.

I wouldn't trust it either. There is already plenty of colored sand, and I am willing to bet that the prices are about the same.

Aww man i wish i had some of that when i was a kid

I doubt it'd be safe in aquariums though.. purple colored water anyone? :S

If you are interested in using it, why not experiment a little? I wouldn't put it in an established tank, but why not set up an experimental tank?
