Crazy New Critters in my LR

Well I am a horrible fish dad. I just came home and found my yellow tang dead... Thats 2 tangs down in a week. The coral beauty and damsles are still rocking out. This is such a tragic hobby.

My quarantine/hospital tank is just a bare 29g with a penguin filter.

Do you know what your water parameters are? I didn't have any fish illnesses in my first sw tank until the nitrates spiked really high.
Also, looking back, I was using an API test kit which I now find out is testing way way way lower than the reading by my salifert kit is.

My water params have been flawless. My PH is 8.2, Ammonia 0, Nitrates 0, and Nitrites 0. The SG is at 1.024 and the temp is 78-79 f. I am using the API kit though. I will go out and buy a different kit soon, now that I know mine might be reading low. the other fish seem to still be doing rather well. Maybe they are stronger than my tang pals.

I hate to say it, but this hobby is becoming so much harder than I imagined. I need to rededicate to the hobby and READ a ton more before I get in any deeper.
Thanks for everyones support.
