Crazy Piranha Video!

I never mentioned a goldfish specifically, but in the wild all they're getting is live food. Once again, its a part of life. All fish are gonna swim for their lives but I believe there is such a thing as the food chain.

Most peeople feed them goldfish because they think it is fun to watch.

I agree i meen my uncle has a turtle who he feeds little feeder fish for the only reason being that his turtle needs to eat and that is his source of food somethin like that i have no problem with

Of course, piranhas do eat fish in their habitats, not goldfish though. The diseases and nutritional value are the reasons not to. I usually feed mine fathead minnows, worms, frozen shrimp or beef heart. To stay on topic to the original post, great video, I have seen that at piranha-fury, along with some better ones.

i am going to breed guppies for my Ctenopoma acutirostre to eat, but they will be small enough that he can eat them in one gulp. i don't mind feeding fish to other fish, i just don't want to see the feeder fish torn appart and suffering. if its swallowed in one clean gulp, i don't mind.

besides that, goldfish are very poor in nutrition and high in fat. the fat is where all the dangerous heavy metals are stored like lead and mercury.

that goldfish was way to big,it looked like a fancy to.there are so many other things that you can feed big carnivores like large thawed shrimp, or if you have to feed live fish, get the ones that fit in the other fishes mouth.that video was terrible the goldfish(even though it only took about 15 sec)was being tortured. :(

I would suggest when you see links like this, not go view them.

you all saw the video, if your so against it why did you click the video labeled "piranha feeding". Have you seen them in the wild eating live huge fish, how they make themselves pass for a part of a school of pacus to full the others.....its nature people. With you "here we go" nonsense, here we go what that peope will bith at him? DONT WATCH THE VIDEO! geez i hate that everyone here feels free to jump on anyone for going against their opinion, keep your mouths shut, he posted it he doesnt care what ya'll say or your opinion. you didnt like fine turn away and move on.

hmm

my problem is that in the wild a fish has a chance to escape in the wild, in a small aquarium, such a fish stands no chance.
