The little guy is definitley a damelfly larva. I looked at some past threads and found this link:Nature Notes from Skye

BTW the rascal is safe for now in a space of its own with water from the tank and a few plants. I just don't want this thing buzzing around my house when it matures.

yeah my goldfish eat anything. like your hand is in the tank and they'll follow you around nipping at your hand for food.
