Creek Diving II -- The Fish Messiah

When we were kids we used to catch fish out of the lake and put them in my neighbor's pool. Obviously the pool was in disrepair and all chlorine had dissipated. We put bass, bream, catfish, shellcrackers, warmouths, gar, thousands of ghost shrimp, mollies, you name it. Our neighbor didn't know we were doing anything of the sort for weeks until he saw a small school of shiners swim past him one morning. It was killer.
one time at a spillway in a creek i was dipnetting out shinners to use as bait at the river when i hit something with my net and it took off and nearly pulled me in with it! i got it out by having my friend hold onto the net while i waded out to get ahold of whatever it was..it was a 8 pound flathead!...yum i can still taste it haha 
Once after a fishing trip, my dad and brothers were cleaning the fish that they brought home in a bucket of water. To their surprise, somehow a bullhead had gotten in the bucket! We decided to keep it in an aquarium (by itself) for a while. It got to be about 6-8" long by my childhood recollection (might have been smaller but it seemed huge!) and we finally had to release it.
