the tank is a year old but went through some bad times when with out me knowing replaced the power filter i had for a sump and removed the power filter to soon left the tank without any beneficial bacteria and two of my fishes dyed so i had to start dozing bacter 7 and now everything is back to normal don't know if now I have a three week old tank I put chaeto and live rock and about two inches of sand in the sump and now is copepods world in there my parameters are good amo/0, nitrates/o,salinity at 1.025 ph at 8.2 calcium is high at 500
