Cruel, or just stupid?

I stopped going to traditional college after it became clear to me that they would hand over a degree to anyone who simply had the money to pay for it.

This is just another example to add to my list.
Which also includes things such as...a girl who didn't understand why the clothes dryer didn't work when the power went out...or the person who thought shrimp were grown in fields in Texas like vegetables...

That is absolutly terrible! Those people I just want to walk up to and hit them in the head and ask how they got so dumb and uncaring. Give a good smack for us all! :wall:

:angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire: :angryfire:

Well, I couldn't smack them upside the head because they were girls. But I did try explaining why their behavior was bad, and they more or less responded with, "Whatever!"

My fish have better breeding than these girls did!

I gave up on college when I was a graduate teaching assistant teaching computer science to business majors, and some of my students couldn't read (University of Kansas, 1993).

Wow... I must say, I am amazed with some of the people I lived with this past year. One girl on my hall didn't know who our current president is... then again, she also flunked out but is still living around campus in hopes to marry a doctor :)

There was also another girl who bought a betta fish and kept him in the cup it came in. She thought it was an 'all in one' deal unlike all of the fish in the aquariums. I got her a 2 gallon bowl a few days after I found out and explained to her why she needs to dechlorinate the water and use pH down (we have EXTREMELY hard water). She was completely blown away with my 'extreme fish knowledge'...
