ALRIGHT. Im really confused. SO this is a flower that is going to grow out of the water? And it is going to leave seeds, but where will they grow? will these seeds will fall into the water and grow new "water plants"

Also, the bulb is directly above it, its now only a couple inches from the surface of the water. Is the heat from the bulb going to be too much for it? Its an 18watt energy bulb. It gets kind of hot
Hate to say but if seeds do form your filter will likely get them. From what I remember reading the seed are quite small

Definitely a flower sprout. If you leave the top off, it could get quite tall. I had one grow 6" above the tank. If you have a small artist's paintbrush (like a 00 or 000 modeler's brush), you could try to pollinate the plant, perhaps get seeds. :idea:
What do I do with the brush? and what do I do with the seeds if I get them? do I put them in the gravel?
It doesnt seem to be coming straight up anymore. its sort of growing across the top of the water now.
usually crypts propagate via runners, in your case I would try to pollinate the flower with a brush, cause that aint Lucens. not sure what it is though.
