Crypt Wendtii Green question??

Crypts are a heavy root feeding plant. They need to be planted in the soil. Plant substrates can work well. Root tabs can also help supplement regular substrates.

My favorites are anubias! They're beautiful and easy to keep.

:iagree: Java fern will also work

Anubias are the best for driftwood/rock IMO. get some root tabs to help growth. also, make sure you plant it in a spot you really like and dont move it after that. Crypts dont like to be moved around since they need to develop a strong root system.

Crypts on wood

Yes Crypts are normally planted in substrait-BUT,I had 3 small ones left over when I planted my 65H. So I stuck them in cracks in some driftwood. The roots attached themselves to the wood & the plants are growing very well. The picture quallity is not the best but you can see them on the wood pile to the right.
