31 days into cycle and would like to ask if and how long before the water clarity becomes crystal clear. Water parameters perfect. Is it alright adding the RO water into the sump? Any directions would help or perhaps more patience is required. Having fun with it and can get intense learning due with LFS install from the start and now researching during the wait. Only had a 5% water change so far until RO insalled and salt water mixer going since yesterday. Thanks for any help.

what's your ph? I'm surprised that your water isn't clear already are you sure that you don't have salt on your glass etc.? Yes you can add top off water to your sump if you don't want to add it to your main tank. What's your ph and water hardness>?

Clarity

Keeping a spreadsheet on the parameters and notes. The PH has been 8.2 steady. The calcium test is confusing to me. If we see the first sign of a blue tint it is 420ppm. Is there an absolute test for people like me with colors?
Did get refractometer and have mixing saltwater this weekend for a good change this coming week. We do have an over amount of pods everywhere however. Perhaps a twenty percent water change would be in order if not to early.

The only time my water has ever been cloudy is when I do anything with my Live Sand. When I first setup my 12g with it, it took about 24-36 hours to completely clear. Then when I added it to my refugium in my sump it clouded my main tank for a few days.

I run carbon from time to time to keep the water clear and clean.

What type of filtration are you using? Can you take some pictures to see what type of cloudiness there is?

Microbubbles

We came to our tank today. Hmmm. microbubbles?
Well were using ALS wet/dry , ALS 90 skimmer, I am thinking it may have something do with Skimmer adjustments. Will turn it off and see if there is a difference. Adjustments ?

Clarity

Water still not crystal clear :1zhelp:. Aquarium has completely cycled..no ammonia, nitrates, nitrites, ph good, etc. etc. Do not understand why there is cloudiness in water. Have been filtering with charcoal filter pad for approx. 24hrs. and water is still cloudy. Any suggestions??

Would you be able to post a picture of your tank? That might help people spot some possibilities.
