Crystal Clear Water

Looking through the sides , my tank didn't clear up until my skimmer started working properly. It pulled out 3 full collection cups of yellowish gunk in a 24h period. Think it was substrate and dead rock residue that had refused to settle.
How bout the live sand needing time to settle down?

Success, went to another LFS and found a filter media (polyester filter fiber) clearing up in less than an hour.

I was going to suggest a product called PolyFilter.. Its a wonderful product for pulling contaminants out of a tank and it doesn't leach them back into the water like some others.
