CSM+B Solution

Just because the waters aren't muddy enough ;)

1/4 cup is pretty close to 4 tablespoons.
4 tablespoons = 384 doses (96 doses to a tablespoon * 4 tablespoons)
I like 5 ml doses so... 384 doses X 5 ml solution = 1920 ml (or 1.92 liters)
If you take your present solution, add enough water to make the total volume 1.92 liters. You just dose 5 ml as the equivalent of 1/32 of a teaspoon. I would also include 25 ml of excel as a preservative. This stuff does have a reputation of growing mold.

If this made this more complicated, feel free to ignore
then again... it's not confirmed that the tank in question is in fact a 20 gal.

your math is correct (of course). 1/4 cup is 4 tblsp (american of course)...

+1 on using Excel to prevent mold etc, gets the stuff out of the refrig where beer and food belong.

I use 2table spoons per 500mls, then spike with some DTPA(I add about 2 tsp).

This allows longer time in the water column for Fe in both high and lower KH's.
ETDA is cheap.........but DTPA is not much either and ideal for most KH ranges and higher KH's above say in the 3-12 ranges.

Some folks also add a little K2SO4 or MgSO4 as well. Up to you

Tom Barr

Ok, thanks! Took the stuff out of the fridge and added 2 tbsps Excel. I have chelated iron from aquariumfertilizer, so I hope I'm good there.
