cucumber or zuccini?

I'm going to try freezing it and them thawing it I've also heard that works

i just drop the zuch into the tank frozen, on a fork. my bn pleco loves her 'zuchinnicicles', lol.

Zuchini is better for pleco's then cucumber since it has more nutrients. Also I feel that all pleco's should be provided with driftwood. I got Ptergoplichthys and they love there wood. I see tons of saw dust from them. Some will munch on it more then others but all benefit from it since its said to help with digestion.

Ditto on the driftwood.I use Malaysian driftwood they sell in fish stores. There is an enzyme they get from rasping on it that aids in digestion and assimilation of nutrients.

My Common Pleco called Alfie and my new baby Sail-fin called Pleco-Bello like Algae-wafers, shrimp pellets, and zucchini, and their specific piece of driftwood..... they are in two different tanks. Pleco-Bello was a rescue from a 1 gallon bowl with a little goldfish. I re-homed the goldfish with a friend with an 1800 gallon indoor pool..... bliss, and kept little Pleco-Bello. He was undernourished and almost starving when I got him. He is now about 3" and doing a lot better, but still not strong enough for a pond or anything. So he will go into my 55 gallon with driftwood until he is a big boy and then he will go to my friend. Just wanted to share that with everyone. I love Pleco's.
My Alfie is 8" and lives in my 75 gallon in his castle/driftwood. He will also be re-homed when he is around 10". But..... maybe I will get a bigger tank... teee heeee

I feed my bottom feeder algae tabs, Romain lettuce hearts...just let it float and in the morning it looks like a piece of green lace.
I skewer onto a thin plastic tube (from under gravel filter) a slice of zucchini, cuke, banana. I don't even peel the zuc or cuke. The peels hold the slice together so I can pick up the remains.

I feed my plecs whatever lettuce my tortoise is eating during the week. That way it doesn't get wasted. My male loves romaine and red leaf, he doesn't seem to like chicory much. The female hasn't really eaten yet but I've only had her for a few days.

I agree with the zuchini. My bnps love them. My clown plec dose to. He will even eat the frozen brine shrimp that my clown loach don't get!
