Got a mild case of Ich going on in my 75 gal. LFS gave me Cupramine since I have a Pleco in there. Followed label directions for 1st dose and emptied out the carbon from the filters and put them back. Any other advice or tips on its usage? Experience with it? Is it effective?
I also bumped up the temp. a tad to.

Cupramine is a chelated copper: "cupr + amine"

Chelation keeps it bioactive and available, instead of precipitating out.

The toxicity of copper is tied to pH. Copper is much more toxic at lower pH. If pH drops in the future, copper can come out of precipitation and haunt you.

Copper is used in aquaculture because it's not toxic to us. It's very toxic to fish, however. More toxic by molar weight than lead.

Copper treatments are safer in Florida's highly-buffered water. Here in NYC's soft water, I wouldn't be able to use it ever.
