Curled up Ludwigia

I just received a bunch (more than I can ever use) of Red Ludwigia, which I bought on Aquabid.
Plants look healthy, but the problem is that the stems are all curled up from top to bottom. Some of them look like horseshoes, and some are almost a circle.
How can I straighten these things out? If I just float them will they straighten out after a while?
I tried to straighten some out by hand, but they just snapped off.
Any suggestions?

Plant them. I'd bet that they'll start straightening out as they reach for the light.

Ok - I did plant a couple of the straightest ones, but they look pretty silly. The top of them are bent right over touching the gravel upsidedown. LOL,

I have a stand of L. repens that I let get out of control. When I finally got around to pruning it last weekend most of the stems were in the shape of a candycane. After replanting the tops it took a couple of days, but they're definitely straightening out. having a strong light source will speed up the process.

Well, ok - I'll see what happens to the ones I've planted.

They'll be straight within 3 days, they naturally straighten out as they grow towards the light.

Thanks Starry. It's only been one day and I can see a difference already. And I really like them. Very pretty plant. I even put some in my pond outside. Its been a bit cool at night, but they seem to be fine.
