Two questions.

1) Does the Red Sea Nano filter produce too strong of a flow for a betta in a 2.5 gallon tank? Will the betta get sucked to the intake tube or hate the outflow current? If so what can be done without compromising the filtering action?
I have purchased a Penn-Plax SmallWorld filter but, the Red Sea is better. I don't want to open the SmallWorld filter package so, I can take it back if necessary.

2) My Red Sea Nano filter is spilling water (Not much/into the tank) on the intake tube side, not just on the output side. What wrong with it?

Thanks.

I have Red Sea nano and I love it. I added more filter media and it works great. The current is not strong and what I like the best that it has adjustable flow. Mine was dripping too, just adjust the flow until it stops doing it.
It is super quiet too and since it is just tiny power filter it does not need noisy air pump like penn-plax small world box filter.

Thanks for the replies. I have already adjusted the flow but the dripping or spilling still occurres. It is not a big deal but it did not do it before.

Someone stated that the flow would be too much for a betta that is why I bought the Penn-Plax SmallWorld filter. I would rather use the Red Sea Nano filter. However, my Red Sea is not very quiet. The cover viberates and makes noise. Again thanks.
