Okay...

I have a rosy Red goldfish in a 10 gallon tank (yes i know i need a bigger tank) ANYWAY, i took apart the tank today adn moved him into a bucket for a hour or so. When i look down in the bucket i notice that he has a funny curve just before teh tail fin. I looked up some info on this and found that it might be NTD. BUT, i dont think it is becuase he has not actted any differatn. He just swims around, wats, and poops like a normal goldfish. Any ideas? he is a few months old and is about 6inch

NTD= neon tetra disease?
Look for uncolored parts of the body, like the fish was filled with milk. I haven't seen this in bigger fish as yours, only in neons and guppies.

ya nothign like that. Thats a reason i dont think ti is so. Is it possable becuase the tank si small. I will be upgradeing to a 20 gallon soon

Do you have a picture you could post? Maybe that would help with figuring this out.....Good luck!

Maybe try sending Roan Art a PM? I have seen her answer questions about NTD and TB in other threads......just a thought....Good luck!!!

No clue. It's not curved spine as in TB or NTD that I've ever seen.

Looks more like a genetic defect that comes up when the fish reaches a certain age.

You might want to do a web search and check some sites that specialize in goldies. If there is a "common" genetic problem with some, you'll probably find it there.

If anything, you can rule that out.
