Cycle by Nutrafin

You think? I've used it before (when I didn't know better) and had no ill effects.

"Cycle" appears to contain some kind of nitrifying bacteria in it, probably nitrobacter. However, it is not the same kind of bacteria that we find in freshwater environments and it doesn't have a long lasting effect, hence the redosing recommendation.

At best, Cycle will temporarily help alleviate ammonia and nitrite levels until the bacterias in Cycle dies off.

Thus the main point in my theory is that it may also kill of established bacteria because there is only so much NO2 to go around.

Now, IF my cycle is complete, is this BIO-SPIRA needed?

K, then I don't think I need the product then. Thanks for the information!
