Fishless cycling:

day18.jpg

As you can see my nitrites have been stuck at 2 for days. My ammonia is being processed and the bacteria probably munch through 2 ppm a day, give or take, the ammonia line is kinda weird due to the adding of ammonia, but i think those bacteria are established.

I did a water change the other day because i was worried about my bogwood lowering my pH, so i took it out and changed the water. But its all the chemicals that are lowering the pH (as expected).

Everything looking okay? Any ideas of when i should expect nitrite to drop based on this data?

Thanks

your readings are about on track. expect ammonia and nitrite levels to drop to 0 in the next week or two. you won't need to add ammonia anymore I dont think. then do a water change and you're ready for some fish.

Going great!
Just keep adding ammonia - else the ammonia oxidizing bacteria colony will suffer. Also the ammonia will raise the pH - being alkaline.
no more than 2 weeks remaining - maybe sooner.
